The one about klubbkidd and lack of charity...

Ok...I feel like slapping myself for even thinking it, but I'm only human....something happened and I have had bad thoughts....

Last weekend, on Sunday more appropriately, join ler tokei funfair punya charity project, Pledge Your Donation.

They managed to raise a whopping RM16,020 (walaupun ada yang tak settle lagik pledges meka - word of advice, the ah longs will be coming to your house soon, so pay up!) and bought a whole load of stuff that was delivered to the intended receipients, Rumah Baitul Fitrah kat Rawang.

I joined them only in Rawang, after speding the afternoon with my family, so tak dapek ler aku nak join masa meka shopping kat Tesco (bagus gak...entah haper kang yang aku beli...bukan leh caya aku bab shopping ni, besides my therapist says I need time away from departmental stores). Tunggu kat exit Rawang together ngan konvoi ala kenduri kahwin, sementara star sampai last...

Masa sampai home tu, I got kinda sad, cause it's been a long time since I joined an event like this, you kinda get detached from all humanity when you're busy with the trivialities of your own life.

Nak baca keadaan hidup meka, head over to blog Mother Theresa (versi berjambang!) sorang ni, yang memang patut dipuji ler for his charitable nature and helping to round up the support for this project.

Anyway, ngan setan barangan yang dibeli dan diisi dalam rumah yang kosong, the kids showed their gratitude by singing a nasyid tune, sebelum mereka dijamu ngan KFC yang juga disponsored. Sedih aku tengok...things we take so far granted are such little blessings for them *sniff*

Anyways, after da move all the stuff they bought with the donations (which was the only part I was involved in - setakat bagi manpower yang memang tak seberapa), we were going to make a move when an ice cream seller lalu ler. Masa tu, Haji Bakhil ngan Aiman, anak abang Badrul. Si Muzaffar offer ler, "Aiman naik aiskrim...?"

Budak tu pun iyakan...si angklung lak point kat aku, "Hah...kalau nak gi mintak uncle."

Setan punya angklung!!! I always kena jadik the evil uncle la!!! Nanti papa dia lak salahkan aku sebab beli aiskrim ke apa...bukan tau. But because memang Aiman irresistably comel punya nephew takde pertalian darah, aku pun tahan ler abang aiskrim tu belikan.

Dalam time tu, ada a few kids from the home keluar approach dekat-dekat. So I offered them too. Before I knew it, aiyo...a whole battallion muncul...!!!

Ok...tak kisah...stop it...these kids are getting a treat ok! You loved ice cream as a kid (you still do, and have the figure to prove it), and these kids bukan dapat a treat everyday.Lagikpun, pikirkan...aku bukan contribute financially pun setakat ni kat project Pledge Your Donation, so I thought...tak apa lah...this is the little I can do.

Plus, it did good to see the kids happy over something simple like ice cream.

Tapi somehow, the line tak stop...pastu takpe...ada lak yang 'repeat performance'.

Awmigawsh!!!! That was the first kid yang amik ice cream da back for seconds...*slap* *slap*...tampo diri sendiri and bit my tongue...don't say a word...it's not charitable of you...

Abang Bad
mungkin perasan kot the line was not slowing down, dia lak take over jadi manager event ice cream, "Yang ni tuk siapa? Berapa orang lagi belum dapat? Amik je apa yang ada...!!"

Seb baik ice cream mahal semua habis sebab the kids yang awal-awal semua target, Trophy ler...Drumstick ler...yang cup ler...semua RM3 ler...RM3.50. Very the expensive taste! Seb baik ada limited stock (haiyo....bad thoughts...*slap* *slap*) Tapi nak cakap apa ah...bila da aiskrim mahal abih, meka cam malas lak amik yang setakat 80 sen atau RM1. Aiyo...demanding.
"Amik je apa yang ada!!!"

Very the dragon Abang Bad ni!!! Aku bab budak-budak ni takut sikit sebab tak sampai hati.
Last-last da settle...abang aiskrim tu pun wat ler kira kira.

"Drumstick sepuluh....satu RM3.50....yang ni sepuluh...satu RM3..." he was calculating.

Aiks...mana ada sepuluh benda alah tu. All the time I was standing there, tak nampak pon sampai sepuluh. Last count, yang Drumstick tu punya aiskrim...only four or five were handed out. Aku tanya sekali, dia kata memang sepuluh. Aku da diam. Serves me right for not counting the stock.

It finally tallied up to about almost RM90. Pening aku sat...for ice cream? Lajus je mental calculation kira berapa tub ice cream I could have bought for these kids. Or how it could have bought beras ke...minyak masak ke...

Still...like I said...geram punya geram got stiffed by ice cream punya penjual tu, I want to slap myself for thinking nasty things. I mean, I'm only human...masa tu start ikhlas, tapi last-last rasa kena 'pau' lak ngan bebudak tu. Still...at the end of it, ada ler sorang dua ni...yang da abih makan, nak masuk rumah, turned to me and call out, "Abang...tima kasih ek kerana belanja aiskrim..."

Ok...so maybe it wasn't entirely a regrettable affair.

Plus yes, I have to admit, pas tengok The Producers TWICE (sebab tengok lagi ari Jumaat), I really don't consider it a waste of any sort, though some geram is still festering deep within.

Still, congratulations to the whole online community yang came forward to pledge your donations to help these kids. God bless you folks...and give me more patience next time I get stiffed by an ice cream seller.

The day before on Saturday, uneventful. Except malam, ngan member aku sorang, Sultan Muzaffar, Nizam Zakaria and a friend, later mysteriously joined in by a Fiebie at some point yang datang sendiri anonymous sebab konon nak remain mysterious!

Lepak Berjaya Times Square makan kat Dome carut warga Sentul (warga sekampung Muzaffar) yang lalu lalang kerana dressing over fashionable tapi pakai selipar (mati lah aku pas ni...)

Abih tu, kumpul kat dalam depan panggung tu, wow....ramainya warga Internet yang muncul! Yang bloggers tak popular, tak star, gila glamer dan berangan pun ada...(aku tolong glamerkan sebab ko kan gila publisiti!)

Watched Gubra again, somehow the intensity of the film...erm...senang cakap...nangis agik.

Sebab aku da member aku beli tiket sendiri, tak sempat booking ngan bebudak The StoryTeller's Club, kami dok depan sikit. Which apparently was ok...Yasmin herself masuk lewat sikit dok depan aku dan member aku punya row.

Abih je...somehow, I didn't feel as depressed as the first time, but somehow the emotions were magnified, and abih je, told Yasmin, "I hate you" with teary eyes...menci aa asik meleleh air mata je. Ihik....Yasmin replied with a hug...awwww.....she is just so sweet!!! Love ya woman! And keep making those great films!

I couldn't resist it, teringat hari sebelum, dan bisik kat member sebelah, "Harganya RM90 aja...." in a bitchy tone.

Aiyo...buruk siku. Tak ikhlas langsung aku...sorry...sorry....*slap* *slap*.

Anyway...erm....nak gi lah tengok The Producers lagik...maybe malam ni kot gi tengok ngan kawan.

Anyway...am pissed as hell. Aku dapat one or two nasty e-mails from orang Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik Malaysia yang hentam aku akibat articles aku yang condemn Anugerah Industri Muzik kali ni. Merasalah dapat email aku yang menjahanamkan generasi ko!

A bunch of letters behind your name and a piece of paper is NOT proof that you know music.

Berangan tul...cam dia meka ni sorang je ada kait mengait, education pasal industry ni. aku sedekad duduk dalam industri muzik ni...bukan bodoh takde pengalaman.

But I suppose that's why people hate the authority of our local music industry. It is almost a fascist state of affairs that tries to remain elitist.

To those people, here's my middle finger salute to you. YOU are the real ones killing the industry with your political and corporate ambitions! Music comes from the soul, you think it should go to your pockets. F***k you...

Panas ati tul....

Anyway...aku tak caya ler bab boycott ke apa, sebab tuk aku, that won't help things. But tuk aku, it will be a silent protest. As someone who has been passionate about the music scene, and contributed too...I have already decided pakaian ketika menghadiri majlis malam AIM.

Pada ada sorang anak bangang lahanat yang komen kat blog aku not so long ago, kalao tak puas ati, boycott...then aku say, gi mampos ler ko.

I am still a member of the Akademi, still a jury of AIM, selain dari membuat liputan event malam tu. Plus my former artiste pun tercalon, so?

Small minded f**ks....

Anyway...back to bab pakaian. I won't stick to the black tie, walaupun da decide akan pakai smart casual, just a jacket and such. But I will be wearing a black armband. Nanti aku bagi specifications kat sini kalao sesapa yang akan hadir malam tu juga nak gak pakai.

I'm wearing that because it's my personal stand, that we should be mourning. For the music industry takkan ke mana ngan memacam campurtangan yang mencemarkan dan merosakkan dunia muzik.

I believe deep down, they may still love the music industry as I passionately do...cuma meka da lupa what it's all about. That's it's not just about Ringgit and Sens...that it's about the creative soul of the people who make up the scene.

As Yasmin quoted in Gubra.

"The lamps are different, but the light is the same."

Okler...nak berhenti meroyan...posting on AIM lagi esok.

Sebelum aku end this posting, ni ada budak letak kat myspace...aku rasa ni ler sentimen yang melanda industri muzik kita bila ramai tak puas ati..setuju ke tak..aku no komen.
